For me, having Tracey as my workout partner and friend has definitely helped through the process, but I feel I have gained another with Kim. Kim is always supportive & encouraging. She is always there when I need a little motivation or help in making the right food choices whether I’m in the grocery store or a restaurant.
Tracey & I enjoy working out and eating healthy so much that we base our busy week schedules not solely around work and family, but around our workouts with Kim.
I never thought it was possible, but thanks to Kim’s challenging workouts and healthy recipes, I have changed my lifestyle! In 6 months time, I have lost 20lbs and decreased my body fat by 14%! Now, I look forward to clothes shopping, and trying new healthy recipes along with new ways to challenge my body. Thank you Kim!”
At the same time Kim was opening up her gym, my trainer was getting ready to move away. I watched Kim in the gym and noticed how she transformed her body. So, I decided to join Kim’s gym. As soon as I started working out with Kim, I saw significant change! Over the past four years, I have lost a total of 30 pounds and dropped three pant sizes. However, the last year of training with Kim has truly given me the fit body that I am proud of. She has taught me that it takes 100% nutrition and 100% training to see results. Kim helped me lose those pesky last 10 pounds and drop my body fat another 5%!
Kim is a role model for all of her clients; she practices what she teaches and leads by example. As I approach 55, I find myself once again living in a body that I no longer recognize—but in a positive way! This time it is one that I want to maintain. Thanks, Kim, for helping me become a healthier and happier Get Fit Mom!”
I love to exercise and feel so much better when I do!!! My mornings start early (usually 4:15 a.m.). I am at Kim’s or the gym by 5. I enjoy going early because this takes no time away from my family and I am home before anyone wakes up. I work out at least 6 days per week for an hour. I run, do turbo, and a lot of PIYO exercises. I also do a lot of free weights making sure I work every muscle group at least once a week. I feel that weight training has made the most difference in shaping my body. When I go to exercise, I think of it as a “job” or part of my work week and really enjoy that time to myself and with friends.
Kim has taught me that not only is exercise very important, nutrition is equally important. I write everything down that I eat every single day. This has helped me so much!! It is so easy to overeat when you do not track your food intake. Also, in order to eat healthy and make healthy choices, you must be prepared!!! My husband and I cook as much meat as we can put on the grill at a time and we eat on that for several days. I also like to steam a large pot of mixed vegetables to always have in the fridge for a snack or for part of a meal. If I am going to be gone for several hours or all day, I always take a cooler with my food along. We rarely eat out or if we do, I like to take a packet of tuna to put on a salad.
I believe the key to getting in shape and staying in shape is to always have small goals. Once you reach your goal, set another. This has helped me stay focused and motivated. I believe that if you want it bad enough and are willing to do the work it takes to get there, anyone can achieve their goal.”
I began working out with Kim in January 2012 in an attempt to find a healthy lifestyle that would show me lasting results. Kim enthusiastically welcomed me into her home and shared fitness and nutrition information specifically for me. Once I began working out with her, I was drawn to her positive attitude and willingness to help me (and so many others) achieve my goals. In the year, I have dropped 18 pounds and 8% of body fat! I have changed so many things in my lifestyle and love all of the health benefits that have come with the results.
Kim has provided me with nutrition guidance and a comfortable workout environment where I have pushed myself beyond limits that I didn’t even know existed! I am continually amazed at the amount of strength and muscle tone I now have. She has helped me develop a plan that I have been able to maintain for the past several months and continue to improve upon each day. I find myself eager to go workout with friends and group classes of others who share this common goal. And I’m excited to continue to see where I am able to push myself next. I know that with Kim’s positive influence, I’ll be able to get there. Thanks, Kim, for everything you have shared with me along the way—but more than anything “thank you” for helping me to believe I can!”
Kim’s nutritional advice and training program has definitely been the answer for me. I have lost 40lbs, 26 ½ total inches and lowered my body fat by 13%. The nutritional knowledge I have gained from Kim has become invaluable to me. Now, I actually look forward to working out, especially when partnering with my best friend, Julie. Who says living a healthy lifestyle can’t be fun? Kim’s personal training and creative recipes make it very manageable for me on a daily basis. I feel better and have energy again and I’m in such a happier mood. I am so thankful for all of Kim’s help. Becoming a Get Fit Mom has been the answer for me!”
I never thought I would say “I love to workout” but with the results I have seen I can truly say I do! I go to Kim’s gym three times a week with my mom and sister. Kim is always changing the workout and we hardly ever repeat the same workout. I feel that the weight training that Kim has me doing has made a huge impact in shaping my body.
Kim has not only taught me how to work out but also how to change my eating lifestyle. I am absolutely amazed how those two things go in hand in hand. Staying fit is 50% exercising and 50% eating healthy. My favorite piece of advice from Kim is “Your abs are made in the kitchen” and she is so right! You will not see amazing results without “clean” eating. Kim has also taught me the importance of tracking my food on my fitness pal. This has been so helpful and prevented me from over eating. Another important key to my success has been being prepared. I plan my meals out ahead of a time for the week and do most of my cooking on Sundays.
I believe anybody can change their lifestyle if they want it bad enough. I also believe there is no “quick fix” out there, if you want to lose weight you have to be willing to eat healthy and workout. Having a personal trainer, like Kim has taught me that you can be healthy and fit no matter how old you are, it just takes some motivation with a little bit of confidence in yourself. Thanks, Kim for the motivation and encouraging words that you have given me!”
I have struggled with weight my entire life. I was a heavy child, thinned out in high school, gained the first year of college, lost, gained, and so on. I have tried every diet and workout plan imaginable. I would lose for a while and then something wouldn’t work and I would get frustrated and give up. Next thing I knew, I was 10 pounds heavier than when I started whatever crazy program I was on.
I was getting close to being the heaviest I had ever been. I heard about Kim through friends and immediately gave her a call. On the very first night, she sat down with me and explained all the ins and outs of the nutrition part of the program. Kim told me how many calories I needed in a day, along with proteins, carbs, and fats. She showed me how to read labels to understand exactly what I was putting in my body. As for the exercise part of the program, Kim has me doing more than I ever imagined I could. I like to say she is the perfect mix of Biggest Losers’ Bob and Jillian…she is sweet and supportive like Bob, but can definitely push you like Jillian.
I have never stuck to a program this before. Kim made me understand that this is a life style change and not just something I need to do to be thin, but I need to do this for my health in general. I love the results I am getting with her help. I feel better about myself and have more energy for my everyday life. I have to thank Kim for being there to support and guide me through this journey of a healthier me. I want to thank the girls I work out with at Kim’s for providing a fun, motivating place to exercise. I also need to thank my husband, my family and friends for their support and encouragement during this process. All of the help I have received has made this transformation possible!”
I started training with Kim in November 2012. My weight had hit an all time high and I was shocked to find out that I was at 25% body fat.
I completed the Get Fit Mom’s 28-day challenge and I set a goal for myself to lose 10 lbs. I lost 11 and I am now at 19 % body fat!
I love to work out now and I especially love the feeling when I’m finished! I feel proud of myself and I feel proud of all the new friends I have met and worked out with! I love hearing everyone’s success story.
I can’t wait to reach my next goal…my first pull up or another 10 lbs. Whatever it is, I know now with clean healthy eating and the new lifestyle, nothing should be out of reach. Believe, Begin, Become!”
Then, I found Kim Lipe from Get Fit Moms. During our consult, Kim explained to me that it is not a diet. Kim gave me a plan, a new way of eating that I never dreamed would work so perfectly into my lifestyle. I started to eat clean and great things happened. I could not believe how quickly the fat just burned away and how clean I felt inside and out. The confidence I feel just knowing I am controlling what I eat, how I look and feel, is amazing to me. I would have never attempted a plan like this on my own, but Kim gave me easy-to-follow guidelines and sample meals. She also included many recipes that were all “Kim approved” or were her own recipes. She took the guesswork out of the mix. That was my saving grace the first month or so. I followed the plan to a science because I wouldn’t have known what to do if I put it in my own hands. Eventually, after several months on this plan, I learned what I can and cannot eat. I simply cannot believe my results. I feel better than I ever have, and that is the absolute truth! They say that abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym, and that results are 70 percent diet and 30 percent exercise. Why didn’t anyone tell me that before! My only regret about clean eating is not starting years ago.
Along with the nutritional plan, I started attending Kim’s strength training classes. I have always been a cardio, not weight, kind of girl. With my new way of eating and strength training, I have lost flab and replaced it with muscle!
I would highly recommend Kim’s recipes. Follow her advice, her recommendations. Follow her workout routines. I guarantee you will be impressed. I thought I had seen and done it all when it came to fitness, but I was wrong.”
